Financial results of Alliance Bank for 2022

The effective business model proposed by the Bank's Shareholder has proven its effectiveness and viability, including under martial law. According to the results of 2022, the Bank received a profit of UAH 77.0 million. The bank is profitable, including according to the Operating result (Profit without taking into account expenses deducted into reserves amounted to UAH 656.3 million), and, accordingly, able to generate income for capital in the future.

As of January 1, 2023, the regulatory capital of the Bank exceeded UAH 1.0 billion, which allows the Bank to comply with all economic norms and limits of the open currency position established by the National Bank of Ukraine, including liquidity and capital standards are met with more than a significant margin (in particular, the actual value of the LCR liquidity coverage ratio was 360.2% against a regulatory value of 100.0% and the actual capital adequacy ratio H2 was 15.9% against a regulatory value of 10.0 %).

According to the data of the National Bank of Ukraine, as of 01.01.2023 JSC "BANK ALLIANCE" held the 24th position in terms of Net assets (UAH 10.1 billion), the 21st position in terms of the loan portfolio (UAH 4.5 billion) and the 20th position by the amount of Net profit according to the results of the reporting year.

 

The structure of active-passive operations of Alliance Bank

Since the beginning of the active phase of hostilities, the Bank has paid special attention to balance in terms of terms and diversification of the credit and investment portfolio and resource base.

Given the high level of uncertainty, the Bank prefers to invest in liquid and low-risk assets. In particular, the share of highly liquid funds (cash and checking accounts) as of January 1, 2023 was 10.4% of Net Assets, the share of investments in government securities (bonds and certificates of deposit of the National Bank of Ukraine) was 39.8%, and the share of customer credit portfolios - only 44.6%.

In turn, in the part of the resource base, the Bank carried out work on its diversification (by attracting client funds and funds from international financial organizations) while reducing the price. In particular, during the II year of 2022, the Bank repaid refinancing loans from the National Bank of Ukraine for a total amount of UAH 2.2 billion.

  

Documentary business of Alliance Bank

The Bank's documentary business remains one of the main business lines of development, which is once again emphasized by the Bank's leading positions in the banking system of Ukraine as a whole.

According to the results of 2022, in terms of the total volume of the portfolio of documentary transactions, the Bank occupies the 5th position (+2 steps per year) in the system with an indicator of UAH 5.2 billion, including the portfolio of provided guarantees amounted to UAH 5.0 billion (increase for 2022 was +34%).

 The market share according to the indicated indicator at the end of 2022 was 7.8%, for the year. The bank is one of the key players in the market of documentary transactions (including guarantees, letters of credit, and promissory note endorsement).


POWER BANKING network

One of the Bank's advantages on the market is an individual approach to each client and a high level of service, which continues to improve every day.

Alliance Bank was one of the first in the banking sector to support the NBU initiative and join the Power Banking program.

Currently, 19 of the 33 branches of Alliance Bank are fully equipped with alternative energy sources and backup communication channels, and, accordingly, are included in the POWER BANKING* network (which is 57% of the total number of Bank branches). These branches provide banking services even in the event of a complete power outage and work according to the usual schedule.
