Changes in tax legislation: military levy for individuals increased to 5%

We would like to draw your attention to the fact that from December 1, 2024, the Law of Ukraine “On Amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine Regarding the Features of Taxation during the Period of Martial Law” came into force.

According to the new changes, the military levy rate for individuals on all types of income has been increased from 1.5% to 5%. This applies, in particular, to wages, winnings, bank deposits, real estate rental, and other income.

These changes will affect the tax withheld when withdrawing deposits or cashback, and this rule applies to all banks. Therefore, please take this into account when planning your financial transactions.

We draw your attention to the fact that for military personnel and employees of law enforcement agencies defined in the law, the military levy rate remains unchanged and is 1.5%.
